Behind-the-Wheel Training

At Wilmington Driving School, safety is the foundation of everything we do. Our training programs follow the standards established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and are designed to help students become safe, confident, and responsible drivers. We believe that safe driving begins with the right mindset. Our primary goal is not only to help students obtain their driver’s license but also to develop lifelong driving habits that reduce accidents and promote road safety for drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike. We provide personalized instruction for drivers of all experience levels, including:

Our instructors work closely with each student to build confidence, improve driving skills, and ensure they are prepared for real-world driving situations.

Road Test Preparation & Vehicle Rental

Wilmington Driving School offers comprehensive road test preparation to help students feel confident on test day. We also provide vehicle rental for DMV road tests to students who have demonstrated safe driving abilities and meet our qualification standards.

Senior Driver Assessments

We proudly work with healthcare providers and medical professionals throughout Delaware to help evaluate whether senior drivers and individuals with certain medical conditions can continue to operate a vehicle safely and independently.

Advanced Driving Program (ADP)

Our Advanced Driving Program (ADP) is designed specifically for Graduated Driver License (GDL) holders who want to further develop their driving skills beyond basic driver education. This specialized program focuses on advanced safety techniques, defensive driving strategies, and real-world driving situations to help drivers become more skilled and confident behind the wheel. Delaware Teen Driver Requirements

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requires all teen drivers to complete supervised driving practice before obtaining a full driver’s license. If you are under 18 years of age, you must complete one of the following:

Option 1

• Complete an approved driver training course
• Complete at least 50 hours of supervised behind-the-wheel driving practice

Option 2

• Complete at least 100 hours of supervised driving practice
